Over the weekend, Folk on the Rocks held their first event of the summer, and just like their main event, it brought together some incredible musical talent.
On June 1st, FOTR held their Main Stage Showdown in Yellowknife. The Main Stage Showdown is a talent show event that is open to any and all performing arts. Not only does it help to fundraise for local causes, but it also serves as an opportunity to discover new talent in the area. Up to ten different performances are accepted, and each of them are given ten minutes to show what they’re made of.
The performers who took to the stage included:

- Refrigerator
- Sean Watson Graham
- The Smith Sisters
- TMixxy & TateVee Duo
Refrigerator was the one to take home the grand prize – $500 in cash, as well as artist passes and a slot on the main stage for the main Festival in July.
