The Yellowknife Youth Choir will soon be celebrating their 10th Anniversary.
The occasion will be celebrated with a concert at the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre on Saturday, June 15th. While admission to the event will be free, donations will be encouraged from the public.
Lead by Susan Shantora and Keira Clinton, the Youth Choir is made up by young women between the ages of 12 to 17, and will be joined by YYC alumni and other special guests. Some of the guests who will be present are:
- Barbara Fortin-Clinton & Kathryn Oraas on violin
- Flora Camuzet & Joanna Wilson on cello
- Matthew Bui, Joseph Duran and Aaron Juntilla on piano
- Maica MacEachern on flute
- Pat Braden on bass, and
- Al Bee on drums
The Choir was first established in 2014 with the help of JUNO award winner Gryphon Trio.
