The GNWT is currently looking for new members to join their Social Assistance Appeal Committees.
They are looking for individuals to join all six of the current committees, with those members coming from Dehcho, North Slave, Sahtu, and Tlicho.
The function of these committees is to hear appeals from Income Assistance recipients who have disagreements with the decisions made by program staff. They operate under the Social Assistance Act, and are allowed to either enforce, reverse, or modify any decisions in these disputes.
Applications and a one-page letter of interest can be sent to [email protected], and will be accepted until August 29th.
