The Sǫǫ̀mba K’è Multicultural Festival is once again coming to Yellowknife later this month.
The event is being put together by the Multicultural Community Yellowknife, the NWT Literacy Council, Federation Franco Tenoise, Intercultural Centre, BACupNorth, CDETNO, and Wolf Foundation.
Guests will be able to rent a booth to showcase their cultural background and to sell different arts and crafts. Vendors will be selling foods from their cultures, lead a dance or musical performance, and show off cultural fashions.
Any residents who wish to showcase their culture through one of these methods can do so by simply filling out a form, which can be found by clicking here.
This event is completely free, and aims to share the variety of different cultures that exist within the city. In 2023, over 30 different countries had some kind of representation.
