The City of Yellowknife is hosting a community roundtable on homelessness at the Tree of Peace Friendship Centre on June 26, 2024, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness will facilitate the event, allowing community members to share their ideas and collaborate on housing solutions. Ben Hendriksen, City Councillor and Chair of the Community Advisory Board on Homelessness says the goal is to create a space where residents can freely exchange ideas.
The roundtable is open to the public, organizations, and businesses, and prior registration is not required. Officials from federal, territorial, and municipal governments will also attend.
