It was recently announced that Det’on Cho Management LP finalized the decision to acquire local food business, Northbest Distributors Ltd. As a full-line food service industry, Northbest supplies food products to local stores, restaurants, mining camps, and other organizations across the NWT.

The Chair of the Det’on Cho group said that he is looking forward to seeing their plans for Northbest implemented over the next few years in the NWT.

In his own statement, Mark Lewis, the President of Det’on Cho Management exclaimed “We see this as a strategic acquisition that allows us to integrate Northbest’s operations with our other operating companies, while at the same time providing Northbest’s established customers the quality experience Det’on Cho is known for across its companies.”

The entirety of the Northbest team will continue to operate out of their current facility on Old Airport Road.
