Services Temporarily Reduced at Fort Smith Health Centre

It was just announced that due to a shortage in the availability of physicians, the Fort Smith Health Centre is currently limiting the number of appointments that they can take at this time.

This availability reduction will be running from June 28th until July 24th. Anyone with non-urgent issues such as sore throats or ear-aches can contact Primary Care at 867-872-6205. During this time, health care providers will also remain available for regular preventative care, chronic diseases, and child and family visits.

Anyone who needs additional medical advice can always call 811 at any time to speak with a registered nurse.

Fort Smith residents are encouraged to check in with their pharmacy to make sure that refills are available for their prescriptions. Locals are advised to keep in mind that wait times are expected to be longer than normal during this service reduction.
