After a successful tournament over the weekend, the Yellowknife Golf Club is ready to make some major donations.
Put together with help from Century 21, the Annual Charity Golf Tournament was held on June 7th. A few days after the Tournament, it was determined that the event was able to raise a staggering $42,000.
Dwayne Simmons, a representative for Century 21, later shared that the money would be equally donated to the NWT SPCA, and the NWT Habitat for Humanity, with each organization receiving $21,000.
In a statement, Simmons said that he “can’t thank enough all the sponsors, auction donors and people that came out golfed in the bad weather and continued to support the event. We’re very proud to be serving Yellowknife and continuing to help build a strong community.”
In a post on their Facebook page, the SPCA expressed their thanks to Century 21 for their continued support of their operations.
