Fort Good Hope evacuation order has been lifted

The Evacuation Order and State of Local Emergency in Fort Good Hope have been lifted, and evacuees can return home. Information about returning home is being provided to evacuees at the school gym in Norman Wells.

Plans are underway for repatriation flights for the 170 evacuees in Norman Wells and the 20 evacuees in Déline. Passengers are requested to limit their luggage to two bags per person. The community government of Fort Good Hope has implemented a prohibition order, and will inspect baggage upon arrival in the community.
