Due to high fire danger, an open fire ban is in effect for Hay River Territorial Park. NWT Fire enforces the ban, which is effective immediately and will remain until July 30, 2024.
Camp stoves, enclosed barbecues, and propane-fueled cooking and heating devices are allowed in NWT Parks. However, they must be placed within regulation fire pits and should not emit a flame more than 0.5 meters in diameter and 0.5 meters in height.
