Flood Damage Repaired, Normal Services Return to Stanton & YPCC

The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority have reported that the repairs to the flooding damage that occurred earlier this year at the Yellowknife Primary Care Centre have now been completed.

As a result, several important services will be returning to their standard operations as of Monday, August 19th. This includes the ability for residents to book appointments with laboratory services at the Stanton Territorial Hospital, and same-day services at the YPCC.

Additionally, Stanton will no longer be taking walk-in appointments, and will be switching to an appointment only model for all laboratory needs. Appointments can be made by calling (867) 767-9300 ext. 46673 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Walk-in services can still be found at the YPCC, along with same-day options and a waitlist. To access this service, patients must present to YPCC registration desk, where they will be provided with a timeslot for that day, if open slots are still available. This allows people to leave and come back at their designated timeslot, decreasing overcrowding in the waiting room, and giving individuals some flexibility in their day. Doors open at 8:00 a.m. and same-day openings start at 8:10 a.m. daily.
