The Yellowknife Curling Club will be testing out a newly created Performance Program during its 2024-25 season.
According to the YKCC, a “curling club pro” was hired to provide programming targeting a variety of skill levels including beginners, recreation curlers, and high-performance curlers.
Club officials say participants in the new programs will receive hands on instructions for skill development in curling in a fun and educational setting.
Registration for the YKCC is open now and includes the new programs, along with Seniors curling, Juniors Curling, competitive and rec league nights, stick curling, and mixed doubles.
Also this year, more Bonspiels and events are on the schedule to appeal to both experienced, and brand new curlers in Yellowknife.
