A Yellowknife couple has just been announced as the winners of the $1 Million Lotto Max while they were visiting Alberta.
While out visiting family in Sherwood Park, Bradley Perrault and his partner, Dana Martin, stopped at a local Save-On-Foods in Edmonton. They picked up a $6 Lotto Max ticket just before the draw date on August 20th.
Perrault checked the ticket a few days later, and the zeroes just kept going!
At first, Martin thought that Bradley was surely messing with her. “It’s pretty unbelievable and so surreal. I had a huge grin on my face when I found out.”
The couple have a few ideas of what they might do with the money, but haven’t quite made up their minds just yet. Martin said that the money gives them many more options, and that they are considering moving down to Alberta.
“We’re just happy to have less stress and to be able to do what we want.”
