The GNWT has just opened a temporary STI clinic in Yellowknife.
The clinic officially opened on October 1st, and is acting as a response to the Territory’s ongoing syphilis outbreak declared in 2019. This clinic will offer a confidential space for testing and treating Sexually Transmitted and Blood Borne Infections. It will remain open for at least one year, while there is heightened concerns about the transmission of these infections.
Details of appointments will only be available to the staff of the clinic, and will be separate from the rest of one’s standard medical file.
The clinic is located at 487 Range Lake Road, Unit 103. The clinic is available to booking appointments as well as walk-ins. Appointments can be booked at rlwclinic.com, and visitors will beed a valid NWT health card to access the service for free. The clinic will be open from Monday to Friday from 4:00 to 8:30pm, and 1:00 to 5:30 on Saturdays.
