Yellowknife RCMP Urge Residents to Secure Vehicles

With regular reports of city residents having their vehicles rummaged through, Yellowknife RCMP are encouraging locals to make sure that their vehicles are secure when parked.

Leaving items inside vehicles, such as purses, wallets, phones, and other valuables make them easy and desirable targets. If important items are left inside a vehicle, it should be locked.

The winter season is also close by, and the RCMP is advising that residents not leave their vehicles running with the keys inside, as it makes vehicle thefts that much easier.
