United Way NWT is now taking applications for the 2025 Community Investment Fund.
This Fund gives out grants of up to $7,500 for single-year projects, and $15,000 for multi-year projects taken on by charitable organizations. Charitable groups are considered for the Fund if they follow along with one of United Way’s focus areas, which include poverty, healthy living, community improvement, and childcare support.
Paul Gillard, the Board Chair for United Way NWT, said in a statement that they are “proud to continue the Community Investment Fund’s legacy of supporting Northern charities and nonprofits dedicated to improving lives across our communities.”
Applications for the Community Investment Fund will be accepted until December 11th. Registered charities and nonprofits can send their applications by email to [email protected]. Applications will be reviewed in January, with final recommendations being made in February. The recipients will be announced, and the funds will be shared in March of 2025.
