Yellowknife’s Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre will be temporarily closed for several days in order to undergo construction.
The construction will be taking place between October 29th and November 23rd. During this time, the Mezzanine Gallery and the upper ramp will be receiving soundproofing work. At the same time, the NWT Archives Reading Room will be subject to unannounced closures within that timeframe in order to work on the noise levels within that room.
All other galleries will remain open during this time. While the construction is taking place, the Feature Gallery, upper-level washrooms, and café will only be accessible by stairs.
The GNWT and the City of Yellowknife have apologized for any inconvenience that comes from this development.
