Applications Now Open for Yellowknife City Grants

The City of Yellowknife recently announced that applications are now open for the 2025 City Grants.

Next year’s grants are being offered through two main categories. The first is the Community Grant Program, which includes Community Service Grants, Multi-year grants, and Sponsorship grants. Through these grants, funding is given to non-profit and community organizations that help to organize events and projects that align with the City Council’s strategic direction. Applications for these grants are expected to present a clear impact on the community.

The second category is the Heritage Committee Grant Program, which are awarded to individuals, groups, and businesses in Yellowknife in order to help them promote the City’s heritage, or to educate future generations on the City’s history. The Heritage Committee can approve any grant up to $5,000, while any request that exceeds that amount must be approved by the Council. The largest grant that can be approved under this category is $10,000.

The online applications can be found by clicking here.
