The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority is informing residents that Yellowknife Public Health is on reduced services until at least January 6th.
This reduction in service is due to low staffing levels, and is aiming to make sure that the most essential programs offered by the service are maintained. During this time, there will be some changes made to well child visits. Anyone who will be impacted by this change will be contacted. Additionally, appointments for travel vaccinations will not be available during this time.
Some appointments that have already been booked may be impacted by this service reduction. A waitlist is being created for patients who will need to have their appointments rescheduled.
The NTHSSA promises that more information will be shared on this situation once new developments arise.
