The Hay River RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a caller who had reported an injury.
Early in the morning on December 20th, the Hay River Detachment received a call from a man who had referred to himself as simply “Jerry,” Jerry had told the Detachment that he had been traveling on a snowmobile trail near Enterprise and had sustained an injury. He believed that he had broken a bone, and said that he needed assistance in getting off of the trail and seeking medical help.
The call was disconnected before any additional information could be shared, and the RCMP have received no word of Jerry’s whereabouts since then.
Hay River officers conducted a search in the Enterprise area for both the caller and the snowmobile, but could find no trace. The RCMP is asking anyone who may know of a “Jerry” who is overdue from travel to come forward and share any information that could help in finding the man. Additional search efforts are already underway.
Anyone who may have information on this matter can contact the Hay River RCMP at 867-874-1111.
