A Yellowknife man who went missing on January 3rd has been found.
Over the weekend, Yellowknife resident Lance Beaulieu was officially reported as missing. He had last been seen on Friday, and the RCMP were asking for the public’s help in finding him.
The search was drawn to a close three days later. On January 6th, a ground search team came across a body several kilometres outside of the city, near the Ingraham Trail. The RCMP were informed of the location, and attended the scene with a coroner.
The body was then identified to be Lance Beaulieu.
The Beaulieu family has been notified of the discovery. An investigation is currently underway with help from the Office of the Chief Coroner.
The RCMP have issued their thanks to everyone who took part in the search effort.
