Snow cleaning services continue for the City of Yellowknife.
On Monday, February 10th, Forrest Drive will be cleaned from Franklin Avenue to Burwash Drive.
On Tuesday, February 11th, cleanings will take place on Range Lake road from the hospital to Finlayson Drive North. The entirety of Stevens Crescent will also be cleaned.
On Wednesday, February 12th, Range Lake Road will be cleaned from Finlayson Drive North to Finlyason Drive. Cleanings will also take place on Forrest Drive from Burwash Drive to Con Road.
On Thursday, February 13th, Borden Drive will be cleaned from Old Airport Road to Rivett Crescent.
Finally, on Friday, February 14th, Finlayson Drive will be cleaned from Kam Lake Road to Hordal Road.
As always, local residents are reminded to make sure that their vehicles are not in the way of workers when the cleanings take place. Vehicle owners will be called ahead of time as a warning to move their vehicles. Any vehicles that are still in the way will be towed away.
Homeowners also need to make sure that their curbside carts are properly placed so as to not block cleaning crews.
Commuters on these streets should expect traffic delays on the mornings after the cleanings, and should plan their routes accordingly.
The City is also reminding any property owners with sidewalks to make sure that they are cleared of snow to help keep pedestrians safe. Likewise, any property that uses trucked service access for water and sewage should make sure that the access points are cleared of snow and ice.
