The announcement has just been made that the Yellowknfie Direct Charge Co-op has just acquired the Super-A Foods in Hay River.
It is expected that full ownership of the location will take effect on May 15th. In the statement announcing the acquisition, Mark Needham, the President of the Yellowknife Co-op, took a moment to “express our heartfelt appreciation for your continued support. Yellowknife Direct Charge Co-op has always been about community, and we look forward to strengthening both our Co-op, and communities within the Northwest Territories.”
Needham added that this transition marks a new chapter, and one that will respect the community’s roots while opening the door to new opportunities.
