Alberta Man Arrested in Fort Resolution for Unlawful Entry

A young man from Edmonton has been arrested in Fort Resolution after illegally entering a private residence.

Local officers were informed of the incident at 10:15am on April 3rd, when they were told by two different people that an individual had entered a home that did not belong to them. The home in question belonged to an elder, who was away at the time of the intrusion.

Once officers arrived at the scene, they gave the suspect orders to exit the home, which he obeyed without incident. Officers performed a quick search of the home to check for any other intruders, but found no one.

The suspect, 18-year-old David Kevin Ndayishimiye, was taken into custody and charged with Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House. He has since been released on conditions to stay outside of Fort Resolution, and is scheduled to make an appearance in court on June 11th.

The Fort Resolution RCMP have expressed their thanks to the public for their help in this matter.
