After receiving a report of a threat made by a 13-year-old student Yellowknife RCMP were deployed to Mildred Hall School late this morning.
At approximately 11:30 am, on April 15 Yellowknife RCMP along with ‘G’ Division Police Dog Services, were dispatched to Mildred Hall School.
The RCMP report that the 13-year-old uttered a threat with a knife.
Due to the nature of complaint, the school was immediately put into lockdown
Yellowknife RCMP seized the knife without incident. The RCMP reported that the youth was brought to Stanton Territorial Hospital and is receiving “proper care.”
The RCMP report that no students or staff were injured during the incident.
