City of Yellowknife looking for entrepreneurs for ‘Win You Space YK’

Win Your Space YK is back for another year.

The City of Yellowknife is looking for local entrepreneurs who want to see their business in a downtown YK space.

Last year‘s winners, Seiji Suzuki (Ja-Pain) and Sarah Kalnay-Watson (Let Me Knot), were two of 16 applicants. A total of ten applications were selected as semi-finalists and received free business training workshops.

Mayor of Yellowknife, Mark Heyck, was impressed by last year’s success and is hoping 2018 can keep the momentum going.

Based on feedback from participants, judges and landlords last year’s competition was a resounding success. We are excited to offer this opportunity once again which meets Council’s priorities of strengthening and diversifying our economy.

Win Your Space YK is open to residents of Yellowknife, Dettah or N’Dilo over the age of 18. You can learn more here. The competition will close on June 1st.
