The City of Yellowknife has several swimming and general summer events coming up in the next few weeks.
At the Ruth Inch Memorial Pool has updated their summer schedule until August 24th, and have also added a Teen Swim for youths aged 12 to 17. Teen Swim will be on Friday evenings from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with dimmed lighting and louder music.
There are also still a few slots open for the summer swimming lessons for July and August. This includes the Bronze Medallion class, which will run from July 16th to the 26th on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
The City is also running a special Day Camp Program with various programs and challenges for children aged 5 top 12. This program will be running out of the Multiplex until August 16th. Program drop off time is between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and children must be picked up before 5:00 p.m.
Finally, the City is working with the NWT Judo Association to offer a Multisport camp for children aged 7 to 12 to help them learn the basics of Judo, as well as a variety of other sports. This program will be running until August 28th.
