The City of Yellowknife will be installing a few new stop signs in the community.
The new signs will be set up at the intersection of Niven Drive, Ballantyne Court, and Hagel Drive. Previously, this location was only a 2-way stop, but the additional signs will turn it into an all-way stop.
The signs are scheduled to go up on April 2nd. For the first few weeks after the installation, there will also be new “Stop Ahead” signs placed to indicate the upcoming changes to drivers.
The City is urging all motorists to follow these signs as soon as they are erected, as failure to do so will result in offenders being issued tickets for non-compliance.
